Dear Players and Parents, Phenom would like to welcome you to the 20th Annual Phenom National Camp. We would also like to welcome back those that are joining us for yet another year. This prestigious event will take place July 27 - July 30, 2023 in beautiful, sunny Orange County, California. As is always the case, this will indeed be a memorable and exciting weekend. The boys will have an opportunity to compete, witness, and experience the best-of-the-best in middle school/ high school basketball. We are fast approaching the dates of the camp. Here is a recap on dates, times, and other info that may be of some help. PLEASE NOTE: *Camp Dates & Times* July 27 (Thursday) *Registration Day Only* Registration will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Orange, California 100 The City Drive Orange, Ca 92868-3204 Registration will be from 8:00am - 6:00pm. (Staff Lunch) 1:00pm - 1:30pm. We will open back up at 1:30pm. The doors will close at 6:00 pm. Registration will be in the BANQUET ROOM of the hotel. Beginning Steps: Get into registration line in lobby. (Line will start around 8:00am) Registration Uniform pick-up Team assignment Receive camp directions and details Player must put on uniform (Jr Phenom White side and Phenom 150 Navy side) for media pictures. Turn in housing and information form. Athletes’ media picture's Pictures will be updated on player profile. Used on social media camp updates. Also, photos will be provided for scouting services to be used for player write-ups Player measurements (height and weight) Camp store Phenom merchandise Admission bands No other camp activities will be scheduled for this day. (People usually arrive in Orange County, Ca on this day to avoid rushing, but is not required). All Players are required to attend registration: (Uniform pick-up, visit official store and much more). July 28 (Friday) Late Registration* - Late Registration will be held at AIM Sports Group at 6:30 a.m. Introduction starts at 7:00 a.m. Depending on the line you may miss the beginning of the camp. Uniformed players can go inside the gym but parents will be allowed at 7:00 a.m. sharp *Start of Camp* - Camp officially starts at AIM Sports Group on Friday at 7:00 a.m. Please make sure that players have breakfast before arriving to the gym. Players should arrive no later than 6:45 a.m. at AIM Sports Group. The camp runs Friday-Sunday. July 30 (Sunday) - The camp concludes no later than 5 p.m. once camp concludes (All-star games will begin at 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Trainer: Phenom will have a professional medical trainer on site throughout the camp event for your child's needs. Athlete's medications must be checked in prior to the event with reasons of consuming to the trainer. Phenom Basketball Inc. and affiliates will not be responsible for any items brought to the campsite that are lost, stolen, or damaged. Uniforms - Players will be provided with a numbered uniform that must be worn at all times. The unique number identifies the campers to camp staff and scouts. At the conclusion of the camp each player will KEEP their uniform. If players are wearing an Undershirt, it must be White. (No exceptions!! If other than white is worn, the player will be asked to remove it) This will be a very strict policy that will be enforced by staff due to media, video and photos taken during activities. Phenom staff will also make sure all jerseys are tucked in at all times. Players will be disciplined if not abiding by the rules. Basketballs: Phenom will provide Baden Phenom Basketballs to be used at the event. No outside balls will be permitted inside the gym at anytime. (Leave your basketballs at the hotel or at home). Drinks: Our National sponsor (Gatorade) will provide Gatorade, water and protein bars or drinks at each court at no change. Videographer: We will have a professional photographer and videographer "BALL DAWG" on site during the event. You have to add the option during registration of your account. Staff and Coaches: During the event, staff and coaches will be easily identified because they will be dressed in signature Nike attire. All coaches will be dressed alike in Phenom/ Nike coaches’ attire (head to toe). *Hotel Information* DoubleTree by Hilton Orange, California 100 The City Drive Orange, Ca 92868-3204 Phone: (714)-634-4500 Phenom Basketball Inc. is not responsible for transportation. It is the parent's/guardian's responsibility to take care of their own transportation and to make sure campers are dropped off and picked up from the gym. *Airport Information* John Wayne Airport 18601 Airport Way Santa Ana, CA 92707 *If you are flying to Orange County we recommend you arrive a day early (Thursday) in order to avoid issues (i.e. flight delays, missed flights, etc.).* *AIM Sports Group* (Camp Location) AIM Sport Group 1709 Apollo Court Seal Beach, CA 90740 AIM Sports Group charges a daily parking fee. Make sure you receive your daily parking pass or you may be ticketed. Phenom will not be responsible for any tickets issued. You must bring cash for the parking fee. AIM Sports Group will also be providing a snack bar at their site store. Vending machines will also be available but limited due to large crowds. Vending machines technical difficulties will not be Phenom’s responsibility as they are privately owned. Parents and spectators are welcome to watch and enjoy this experience of a lifetime. If you’re planning on attending as a spectator, you will be required to purchase a daily or weekend passes. (Must be worn the whole weekend) Passes will be available for purchase at registration in the national camp store. Spectators are encouraged to be positive for the campers and to enjoy this wonderful weekend. It will be a lasting memory. *Admission Charge* - (for spectators) Weekend passes - (Friday-Sunday) $40.00 - Adult $30.00 - Youth (7 years-17 years old) Daily Passes - $18.00 - Adult $12.00 - Youth (7 years-17 years old) *Official Phenom Merchandise Store* The Phenom store will be open during registration hours from 9 a.m - 6 pm. at the hotel on Thursday and daily at the gym from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm. You can purchase weekend passes, t-shirts, shorts, hoodies and many other items. Camp store merchandise is only available during the Phenom National Camp. Unfortunately, we do not have an online store available. *Make sure you purchase your weekend passes during registration to avoid the long lines during the opening of the gym on Friday morning. * (Make sure the band is attached to your wrist before entering gym. The staff will stop you and ask you to please attach onto your wrist prior to entering the gym.) Please Note: *Spectators who have bands attached to their wrist will be allowed to enter the gym. *Spectators who do not have a band attached will be asked to step aside and attach their band before entering the gym. *Spectators who choose to purchase their bands in the morning will have to wait in line until those who have bands enter the gym.
