Braydon Browning, a 5’11” prospect from West Virginia and part of the class of 2029, had a solid overall camp at the Phenom America camp. He was able to showcase his skills in certain areas but also had a great attitude and was eager to learn as well. His strengths on the court were his consistency to be a team player, his ability to put pressure on the defense, his awareness in finding his teammates and making the right reads and moving without the ball to create opportunities. Next in his development, he can continue to work on his moving without the ball, rebounding and off-ball defense, as well as his back to the basket moves. Coach said “Try to be more vocal on the court at your position. Continue to work on your quickness, footwork as well. Shooting off the dribble and three-point consistency will continue to help you as well. Defense will get you playing time so build the hunger to make an impact there as well.” Braydon is a Gamer; he is always ready to play. As you expand your game and focuses on your weakness, your game will take off to another level.

Player Evaluation
Papa Yaw Asenso-Okyere, a 4’9” prospect from Cumming, Georgia and part of the class of 2032, had a good showing throughout the camp and really was able to showcase how effective he can be as a player. Papa Yaw Asenso-Okyere plays with great instincts, was a strong on ball defender and with his transition defense was elite level. As far as his strengths, they were his shooting range, his passing feel and touch, his transition and on-ball defense, and footwork as a player, and having a nice feel offensively for the game. Next in his development, he can continue to work on his use of his off hand, catch and shoot, defense on/off the ball and rebounding his position. Coach said “Great young man, great effort and a good teammate. He can improve on his shoot selection and don’t force the contested ones.” Don’t be afraid to lead and take charge of a team you have that skill set.

Jase Tam, a 4’5” prospect from the state of Texas and part of the Class of 2032, was a point guard for the team that was able to make plays and knock down shots when available. When talking about Jase’s game, he was able to showcase his ability to make his presence felt with his range on his shot, knocking down threes at times but also being able to create off the dribble and finish around the basket. At 4’5” and as a point guard, he used his size to his advantage on the court. Next in his development, Jase will need to continue to work on his overall offensive game, continuing to improve his shot and release, and making his presence felt on both sides of the court. Jase will play at the next level and do very well.

He excelled with his catch and shoot opportunities, as well as using his off hand well. Willis has good handles that was allow him to create and penetrate, while he also competed in others areas on the court. Next in his development, he can continue to work on his back to the basket moves and his passing abilities. Coach said “He has tremendous upside but needs to be more coachable. He has a good skill and his teammates respect him. One thing he needs to work on is his shot selection. He passed up some good shots at times to penetrate. He has a bright future with his game.”

He operated better inside the arc and showing his mid-range game more but also was strong as an on-ball defense, getting into defenders and creating havoc as well as transition defense. Moved really well without the ball in his hands. Next in his development, Adams can continue to work on his ability to finish, his handles and making them stronger, don’t ball watch on offense, and making a bigger impact on the boards. Coach said “You are a guard with a nice catch and shoot package. I would like to see you shoot off the dribble more and be more aggressive in shotting the basketball when you have an open shot. Be assertive as a point guard and get your teammates involved as well.”
