Each Year the competition to win basketball scholarships at every level becomes more intense. Every legitimate means of gaining an edge toward securing an education and the opportunity to play at the college level is an investment in your future.
Only a handful of players win D-I scholarships each year. It is a difficult jump from high school to college in any sport. Basketball is the most limited in terms of scholarships available.
Colleges now recruit not only nationally, but internationally, so the pool of athletes searching for scholarships continues to grow. Using NCAA figures from their own “participation rate”, study and “probability of competing beyond high school”, the NCAA estimates that 2.9% of HS seniors will compete at some level in college.
If our student/athletes get the message sooner rather than later about the numbers, they can positively affect what they have some control over. The keys are academics, skills training and nutrition. Winning a college scholarship is not just about ability. The quality of effort expended can and will improve your odds of success.
Camp Details You Must Know!
Date of Boys Event: August 1 – 4, 2019 – Rising 9th (2023), Rising 10th (2022), Rising 11th (2021), Rising 12th (2020) & unsigned seniors (2019).
Location: Alliant International University, 10455 Pomerado Road, San Diego, CA, 92131
Tuition: $545.00 Registration Fee includes uniforms and meals
FULL PAYMENT WILL BE DUE 30 DAYS PRIOR TO THE CAMP DATE.
*DEPOSITS/PAYMENTS ARE TO ACCOMPANY REGISTRATION FORMS AND ARE NONREFUNDABLE IF ANY CHANGES OCCUR*
Meals: Meals are included in your registration fee and will be served daily on campus.
Transportation: If you are flying, plan to arrive on Thursday. San Diego International Airport is located 17 miles (25 minutes) south of Alliant University.
Registration: Only players invited by Jr. Phenom Regional Camp Board of Directors or National Office may attend.
Hotel: Handlery Hotel-San Diego
We hope this message finds you doing well! We are excited here at Phenom to have you as a part of our upcoming camp. We would like to take a moment to let you all know that we have changed hotel locations for our event. We felt this change was needed in order to continue to provide the best overall experience for everyone who attends our camp. The new site is a much nicer property. The new location accommodates everything that is needed to run a successful camp along with providing a more spacious environment, better room rates and a prime location in relation to restaurants and additional entertainment.
We are very excited for the new location and cannot wait to share it with everyone. As we continue to strive to improve our camps every year we have no doubt that the new venue will help us do that!
